The platinum rule I live by is, “Treat others the way they would like to be treated.” Every person is unique in their own special way, with their own definition of what success truly means to them. In mentoring and leading my clients, family, friends, and peers, I find it essential to be impartial and empathetic to help achieve their definition of success. On a daily basis, I insert myself into others’ shoes and imagine what it is like to be them. When working with an individual or family towards their goals, I act as a partner to help them realize these dreams. My hope is to continue to use my intellectual curiosity, gift for listening, and ability to absorb information to best assist my clients and peers throughout the various stages of their life. It would be a great honor to leverage my intellectual capital as ammunition to empower their decision-making.

What inspired you to join Bernstein—and to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?

As a solution-oriented advisor, I pride myself on integrity and transparency. This is also why I joined the Bernstein family. Our firm’s philosophy parallels my own convictions, which my parents and family instilled into me early in life. Trust and reliability, the crux of my value system, uphold the foundation of strong relationships, from personal to social to professional. Bernstein is a fiduciary, always holding ourselves accountable to the highest standard to place our clients’ interests before our own. At Bernstein, there was and always will be one common, overarching goal in mind—to produce the best outcomes and create a better future for our clients. This motivates me daily.

Our culture continues to inspire and impress all of us, clients and peers included. As motivational speaker Simon Sinek says, “Clients will never love a company until the employees love it first.” If I had to pinpoint what I love the most about Bernstein, it would be the level of intimate community engagement and seamless collaboration across the firm, both of which I highly value. My clients both appreciate and benefit from this culture. 

What is the most fulfilling aspect of being an advisor to your clients?

Every client differs in terms of their values, opinions, interests, and goals. The beauty of being an advisor is having the opportunity to partner with a diverse range of people. My clients appreciate my ability to thoughtfully guide them through varying scenarios and life stages. At times that means helping them evaluate and implement financial and personal decisions related to their wealth, business, or charitable intentions. In other cases, I serve as the go-to person for my clients, who trust my opinion when it comes to recommending other trusted professional partners.

Through resource and idea-sharing, coupled with proactive and regular communication, my clients and I establish a comfortable, secure, and powerful relationship. This partnership lays solid groundwork toward accomplishing their objectives and developing solutions to overcome obstacles. My clients value my calm and collected demeanor, as it invokes confidence under all circumstances. I find it to be extremely gratifying to share in the success of my clients and create tangible impact in their lives. Plus, I often walk away with life lessons as well!

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

Passion defines my personality. I’m most excited when immersed in new settings, surrounded by new people, and faced with new challenges. This could mean anything from a rooftop soccer game in Manhattan to a golf match in North Carolina, snowboarding in the Swiss Alps, sunset cruise in Florida or hiking in Colorado. Other times you might find me wrestling with my pugs, reading Malcolm Gladwell, enjoying a Broadway show, or watching historical documentaries. I love to celebrate my Italian roots, whether it’s over a glass of wine, hand-rolling pasta, brushing up on Italian history, or enjoying a conversation in Italian!
