I’m a Time Saver

Wealth inevitably brings along unintended consequences and complicated issues. Oftentimes clients are unprepared for these concerns—and value my ability to navigate them fluidly and free up their time to focus on what they truly want to do.

What inspired you to join Bernstein?

The first 15 years of my finance career began with a position at a consulting firm for institutional clients. In that world, my job was to have a deep understanding of every investment firm and the ins and outs of their processes. In doing my own research, Bernstein stood out by leaps and bounds from the crowd. The reason is Bernstein’s unique structure, which has research at its core. This setup creates advantages that other firms can’t replicate. In addition, Bernstein is always innovating, evolving and finding new ways to offer solutions to our clients. Our world-class research, structural advantage and fiduciary standard of care brought me here.

What is the most fulfilling aspect of being an advisor to your clients?

The relationships, and oftentimes friendships, that I establish with my clients remain the most fulfilling aspect of my job. Through my advising work, I enable my clients to focus on the things that matter most to them. I free up their time, which is most valuable to all of my clients, by dealing with the complexities that accompany their success.

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

My wife and I both were both raised and have lived in the Pacific Northwest our whole lives. Between our own family and large extended family, regular gatherings with loved ones are always on our calendar. We also love pursuing outdoor activities together like skiing, tennis and hiking. My wife and I also volunteer together, and are on a few boards of local nonprofits whose focus is education and supporting the underserved in our community.
