I’ve invested 25 years in the financial markets, which gives me a holistic perspective. My transactional and product expertise in the structured finance and capital markets help me to deliver custom, client-focused solutions.

What inspired you to join Bernstein?

Prior to joining Bernstein, I was at a point in my career where I was looking for an opportunity that would allow me to draw upon my unique set of experiences. My hope was that I could pull together the knowledge I had gained in the political, educational, professional and personal chapters of my life. My aim was to become a steadfast advisor, connector and thought leader who would add value to my network of relationships. I am grateful to have found the opportunity to be a trusted advisor at Bernstein, a unique, world-class investment management firm. Our foundation, which builds upon extensive research and a commitment to doing everything in our power to help clients identify and attain their goals, is in total and complete alignment with my own value system. This synergy between myself and Bernstein inspires me to put in the time, effort and manpower that is required to help my clients achieve their desires.

What differentiates you from other advisors?

My unique perspective sets me apart from other advisors. Perspective is perhaps our greatest tool as human beings because it allows us to see life, situations, problems and solutions from many different angles. It is shaped and earned through life experience. I realized this early on in my career when I worked at the White House and traveled the world with the Vice President of the United States. My perspective became even more complex when I managed capital markets and investment banking businesses. This experience complemented my perspective with a wealth of financial acumen and a well-rounded view of the financial markets. The breadth and depth of my perspective benefit my clients because I can see situations through many different lenses, which helps my clients figure out what is most important to them.

Tell me about the types of clients you work with.

My specialty is providing counsel to business owners, entrepreneurs and corporate executives. This area of expertise stems from my career as a structured finance banker at large, global investment banks. My experience evaluating and originating transaction structures enables me to confidently provide the following services for my clients: analyzing potential deal structures; providing pre-transaction consultation in the exit planning stage and post-transaction investments; and designing strategies for tax and estate planning.
