I am passionate about helping our clients navigate the markets and the tax code to position their families for success—as they define it.
What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?
I was 23 years old when I interviewed for a desktop technician role at Bernstein in San Francisco. In my second week at the firm, I identified the position I wanted: wealth advisor. Twenty-three years, five offices and six job titles later, I am thrilled that I achieved that goal and have thrived in the role. What impressed me about the first people I met all those years ago was how long they had been with Bernstein and the passion with which they talked about our firm’s mission. Now I am using my passion for the firm’s expertise and approach to grow our client base and develop the next generation of advisors at the firm.e curve.
How have your values and personal background specifically positioned you to work with your clients?
Many of my clients are current or former business owners who have spent their lives building businesses that are deeply connected to their families. Having grown up watching my mother, a single parent, strive to achieve professional and financial success, I am inspired by my clients’ stories of hard work, challenges and success. I focus my practice on helping clients transfer their wealth and values to the next generation, and I love working directly with our clients’ children as they are starting their careers.
If you didn’t work for Bernstein, what else would you be doing?
If I hadn’t found Bernstein, I would still be working in technology, probably in a sales or client-facing role. I am also obsessed with both financial literacy and the history of financial markets, so I could see myself terrifying young professionals about the need for retirement planning or putting college kids to sleep with lectures on the East India Companies.
