What inspired you to join Bernstein?
My journey with Bernstein began when a young woman from LA moved next door to my parents to establish Bernstein’s Dallas office. Despite being in a male-dominated field, she achieved remarkable success before retiring.
This inspiring story stayed with me as I navigated nearly a decade in wealth management. I had the privilege of working for some of the world’s largest investment management firms, gaining invaluable experience with the most sophisticated platforms in the industry. However, the distinct allure of Bernstein ultimately captured my attention.
After an almost yearlong evaluation, I discovered that Bernstein’s differentiated approach to investment and planning advice truly sets the firm apart. Our industry-renowned services complement the needs of the families and individuals I serve and elevate their financial journeys. And so, with excitement and conviction, I chose to join the ranks of Bernstein—where I now strive to empower my clients, just as my inspiring neighbor did.
What is the most fulfilling aspect of being an advisor to your clients?
My perspective on wealth management transcends the common objectives of capital appreciation or preservation. What truly fuels my passion as a wealth advisor are the conversations I engage in with my clients, delving into the intricate nuances accompanying significant wealth accumulation. These discussions often center around the legacies they aspire to create and the impact they wish to leave behind.
Being a wealth advisor enables me to help clients explore the diverse facets of their financial legacies, from passing on a portion of their wealth to future generations to shaping their philanthropic vision. I take great pride in providing customized, tax-advantaged solutions that empower clients to realize their goals and make a lasting impact on the world. Because of this genuine commitment to their personal journey and the human aspect of wealth management, I’m dedicated to guiding clients in crafting a legacy that reflects their vision and purpose.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
At the heart of my life’s priorities are the health and well-being of my loved ones—my wife, my children, and my dog, Goose. I’m committed to instilling in my children the importance of being catalysts for change in their community. This passion translates into my involvement with the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands. This community-facing organization raises funds for grants and scholarship programs in East Dallas. Outside of my professional and community-focused pursuits, I treasure the moments spent traveling to my family homes in Newport, Rhode Island, and Asheville, North Carolina.
As a wealth advisor, I recognize that our work may fade from memory, but the lasting impact we create on the lives of others will ripple through generations. This perspective shapes my approach to wealth management, grounding me in empathy and dedication to my clients and their legacies.
