What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?
Early in my career at Bernstein, I was inspired to grow professionally. While I admired and appreciated the intellectual rigor of my colleagues, I was never intimidated by it. Their willingness to share knowledge—even with those who were less tenured—created an environment where I felt at ease.
Years later, I continue to thrive because of the opportunity to develop the next generation of leadership within the firm. Playing a role in moving Bernstein forward, adapting to the evolving needs of our clients and staying at the forefront of our industry, is deeply rewarding. Mentoring others is also my way of paying back the generosity my colleagues and mentors showed me.
What’s the best way for people to put their wealth in perspective?
I’ve been privileged to work with families, business owners, and organizations whose focus extends beyond how much wealth they have to how they can use it. My role is to help guide those conversations as they think more intentionally about their legacy.
These discussions often center on a few key questions: What is the most effective way to pass down family values to future generations? How can we support causes in ways that create lasting impact? Finalizing a plan typically involves thoughtful conversations around risk management, tax efficiency, access to private markets, and fee transparency.
If you didn’t work for Bernstein, what else would you be doing?
If I weren’t at Bernstein, I would focus my time on helping to close the opportunity gap. I’m committed to ensuring that children who lack financial resources or strong support systems have access to what they need to succeed in an educational environment.
I’m particularly drawn to initiatives that build confidence and develop the social-emotional foundation that supports long-term success. Over time, I’ve seen how much of a difference the right support can make, and I believe more people should have access to that kind of opportunity.
