Creating safe spaces for transformative conversations

In a bustling world full of complexity and competing priorities, I collaborate with our clients to pinpoint what’s of utmost importance, build a road map forward, and deepen their impact and relationships—with themselves and those they care most about.

Why have you been at the firm as long as you have?

One of our firm values describes how “intellectual curiosity is in our DNA,” and it truly is in mine—I’m an insatiable learner. In fact, “adventure” is one of my personal values, and to me this means exploring in all senses of the word, including learning, maximizing opportunities, and helping people connect—with one another, and with their purpose. Bernstein is a great place to explore.

Being here has allowed me to grow as a coach and support clients in ways that really make a difference. Every day I feel the importance of the way our team focuses on the human side of wealth and all the beautiful, unique complexity that comes from living a rich human experience.

My career journey has been a wonderful, kaleidoscopic global adventure, and I never thought I would feel so at home in a financial firm. But due to Bernstein’s commitment to values that align with my own, and thanks to colleagues who have championed my potential, I’ve found my spot, and it’s become a place where I can thrive.

What is most fulfilling about your role?

Serving as a coach and partner to clients, wherever they are on their journey. We facilitate meaningful communication to explore their priorities, purpose, values and more. It’s immensely fulfilling to play a role in guiding them to that “light bulb” moment—where they have more clarity, understand themselves and their loved ones better, or gain awareness that empowers them to take a more confident step forward into their next chapter.

We enable them to build that road map in partnership with our planning and investment teams. This can take several forms: providing education and community for members of the rising generation, helping to position an engaged couple for success in their marriage, mitigating conflict by designing and implementing new family governance structures, or determining the most effective ways for a family to give back to the causes they care most about. It’s an honor to earn our clients’ deep trust and partner with them through life’s biggest moments.

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

Outside of work, I seek balance, joy and fulfilment by being outdoors and through community. I cherish participating in outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking and sailboat racing. I am also an active member of communities like the International Coaching Federation’s New York City chapter, St. George’s Society of New York, and my local run club in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. I value investing significant time and energy in relationships, with friends and connections old and new, my partner, and extended family and am notorious for nurturing these by organizing celebrations, trips and events. On quieter days you might find me buried in a nonfiction book, attempting home improvements, or watching some rugby.
