Tell me about the types of clients you work with.
My clients are successful individuals and families with the benefit of significant wealth who value advice and a long-term partnership with their advisor. The common thread between my clients is hard work, high integrity, a philosophy of having fun along the way and a desire to leave a lasting impact on the people around them and the charitable organizations they care about.
What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?
When I joined Bernstein back in 2005, I was hopeful that it would be a great place to work. The culture of our firm, which is perpetuated by a palpable pride in being a part of Bernstein, immediately inspired me. After nearly two terrific decades, I’ve stayed because the firm has been better than I could have imagined; I consider my colleagues as part of my own family. Bernstein stands out amongst our competitors with its commitment to put clients’ interests ahead of our own. In a landscape where most investment managers look alike, Bernstein has evolved in just 50 years into an organization unlike any other. We have the resources of a global research firm and the client service of a boutique investment firm.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
Outside the office, I cherish the time I spend with family, friends, and my two labradoodles. On weekends, I enjoy walking my dogs around my alma mater Rice University, where I played tennis on scholarship. I can also be found exploring the city for tasty food, playing golf, and enjoying all that Houston, Texas, and beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, have to offer. I enjoy my volunteer commitments serving on the Board of Trustees for the Houston Holocaust Museum and the United Way Women’s Initiative.
