What inspired you to join Bernstein?
Throughout my career in education, nonprofit leadership and private equity, I was consistently drawn to work that helped people make complex decisions with long-term impact. Bernstein stood out because of its depth of planning and intellectual rigor. It’s a place where advice isn’t transactional—it’s truly strategic and multigenerational.
It felt like the natural intersection of my background and what I value most: combining analytical problem-solving with building trusted relationships that endure over time.
What differentiates you from other advisors?
I bring a perspective shaped by investing, education and philanthropy. Before joining Bernstein, I evaluated founder-led businesses in private equity, which gives me an investor’s lens on the opportunities and challenges entrepreneurs face—especially around liquidity events and long-term planning.
I often work with entrepreneurs and families navigating those inflection points, helping them turn complexity into clear, actionable decisions. Earlier in my career, my work with nonprofit leaders and philanthropists reinforced that the best investment advice starts with listening and understanding what truly matters.
As a former teacher, I focus on making sophisticated financial concepts simple and intuitive. Ultimately, my goal is to combine technical expertise with clear communication and genuine curiosity, so clients can move forward with confidence during life’s most important transitions.
Who has been the most influential person in your life?
My parents have shaped who I am more than anyone else. As immigrants from El Salvador, they built small businesses through hard work, sacrifice and perseverance. My father ran an auto body shop, and my mother operated a cleaning business. Growing up, I had a front-row seat to the realities of entrepreneurship—from making business cards to helping wherever I could.
That experience gave me a deep appreciation for what it takes to build something from the ground up, and it shapes how I relate to the entrepreneurs and families I work with today. Their determination became part of my DNA and continues to influence how I show up for clients—with discipline, empathy and a long-term perspective.
