What inspired you to join Bernstein?
I embarked on my third career here at Bernstein after previous management experience in the food service and healthcare industries. I had never considered a role in finance until I interviewed with eleven different people at the Bernstein office in Houston and thoroughly enjoyed speaking and getting to know each one of them.
As I learned more about Bernstein, I realized how deeply the firm’s values aligned with my own, especially their commitment to innovation and to hire people with diverse backgrounds and experience. In my opinion, their training is the best in the industry bar none, and I am privileged to have experienced much success and professional growth in my time here since I joined in 2018.
If you didn’t work for Bernstein, what else would you be doing?
In another life, I would love to be an artist. I have always enjoyed learning about art since a very young age, and I have traveled the world visiting museums, architectural masterpieces and ancient wonders. My most fulfilling volunteer work has been at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston encouraging children to think about art at a level beyond just a craft project!
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
In my free time, I enjoy leading the Rice Alumni of Houston Regional planning committee as we organize various events for local alumni. My weekends are usually spent sweating in Reformer Pilates classes, walking around Memorial Park and the Houston Arboretum, and volunteering at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston with the Junior League. In the evenings, I can also be found curling up on the couch with a good book with my senior dog Indy!
