What’s the best way for people to put their wealth in perspective?
I’ve always believed that wealth is easiest to appreciate when you view it through the lens of what it allows you to do rather than what it allows you to own. Money can create opportunities, provide security and remove burdens, but its real value comes from helping you spend more time with the people you care about, pursue what matters most and make a lasting impact on others.
Some of the happiest and most fulfilled people I know aren’t focused on accumulating more; they’re focused on using their resources to support their family, invest in their community and live a life aligned with their values. In the end, wealth is most meaningful as a means to a richer life, not the measure of one.
How have your values and personal background specifically positioned you to work with your clients?
My values and personal background have shaped the way I serve my clients every day. Before becoming a financial advisor, I was a Texas high school football coach, where integrity, self-sacrifice and dependability were not just ideals but expectations. Coaching taught me that success comes from putting others first, earning trust through consistent actions, and remaining committed to a long-term plan even when challenges arise.
Those same principles guide my work with clients today. I believe in doing what is right, being a dependable resource through both opportunities and uncertainties and always putting my clients’ best interests ahead of my own. Just as I once helped athletes develop a game plan to achieve their goals, I now help individuals and families navigate important financial decisions with discipline, transparency and a commitment to their long-term success.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
Outside of work, my greatest passion is spending time with my family. My wife Laney and I have two sons, as well as our dogs, and my most meaningful moments come from being present for their everyday lives. On any given weekend you can find me coaching from the sidelines, playing outside with my boys, taking my dogs for long walks or simply sharing time together at home. Being a husband and father brings me tremendous purpose and fulfillment, and those experiences continue to shape my perspective on what truly matters in life.
