Amplifying philanthropic impact on communities

My background of nearly 20 years in the social sector led me to Bernstein, where it’s my privilege to support our clients across the philanthropic spectrum, helping them build financial resilience and create the change they want to see in the world.

What inspired you to join Bernstein?

I came to Bernstein for the opportunity to help amplify the incredible work our philanthropic clients are doing in their respective communities. It’s a privilege to partner with so many impactful organizations, foundations, and charitable individuals and families to help them thrive in all pillars of their business. The support we provide goes far beyond investment management and is both intentional and robust. Not to mention, coming from outside of the industry, Bernstein's training program is well-structured and distinct among its peers. It feels like I earned an MBA in 3 months—can’t ask for more than that.

How have your values and personal background specifically positioned you to work with your clients?

My time spent working in the social sector prepared me well to understand the unique challenges and opportunities within the philanthropic space. I can speak the same language as our nonprofit and foundation clients because I have been in their shoes. I’m passionate about giving back to my community, and I consider it an honor to partner with and support our clients on their path to creating social change.

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

As a mom to two young kids, there is never a dull moment these days. I’m an avid sports fan—in particular, my hometown team, the New Orleans Saints, and my adopted team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. I enjoy going to concerts and music festivals, as well as traveling, skiing and trying new restaurants. I love living in California, with its easy access to nature, and can often be found at the beach with my family or trying to convince my kids that hiking is fun. On the rare opportunity I get to slow down, I love curling up with a good book and my cat, Maverick, snuggled on my lap.
