What inspired you to join Bernstein?
What initially attracted me to Bernstein was the firm’s reputation for intellectual rigor and world-class research. But what ultimately convinced me to join was the people.
I believe that the quality of your thinking is often a reflection of the people you regularly learn from. Bernstein is a place where curiosity is encouraged, assumptions are challenged and great ideas can come from anywhere. I wanted to surround myself with people who were smarter than me and who would push me to continually grow.
Years later, that’s still what inspires me most. Every day I have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues, collaborate on challenges and bring better thinking to the clients we serve.
How have your values and personal background specifically positioned you to work with your clients?
I grew up influenced by two very different but complementary perspectives. My mother was a nurse, and my father was a biomedical engineer. From them, I learned the value of pairing empathy, integrity and service with intellectual curiosity and problem solving.
That balance continues to shape how I work today. As a solutions engineer at heart, I enjoy helping clients navigate complicated financial decisions, but I also recognize that every financial decision is ultimately a human one. My role is not just to develop thoughtful strategies. It’s to help people gain clarity, make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.
If you didn’t work for Bernstein, what else would you be doing?
If I weren’t working in wealth management, I’d likely still be in the operating room. Before joining Bernstein, I worked in cardiac electrophysiology alongside physicians and care teams helping patients through medical decisions and procedures. What I found most meaningful was helping people navigate uncertainty when the stakes were high.
That’s one of the reasons wealth management felt like such a natural transition. While the subject matter changed, the purpose didn’t. I still have the privilege of helping people make important decisions, gain confidence in their future and focus on what matters most to them and their families.
