What inspired you to join Bernstein?
I came to Bernstein from a big bank and was immediately attracted to the firm’s vastly different culture and conflict-free focus. When clients ask, “How are you different?” I tell them at Bernstein we are leaders, not followers. Our singular focus is wealth management and ensuring our clients’ best interests. That mindset is in the DNA of everything we do. Whether the entrepreneurs and founders I work with are facing pre-public financial planning complexities or a recent life-changing liquidity event, I know that we have incredible tools and capabilities to solve any challenge we may face together.
There is no greater privilege than to be entrusted as a partner in the stewardship of someone’s hard-earned wealth, and that privilege will keep me energized for the rest of my career.
How have your values and personal background uniquely positioned you to work with your clients?
Coming from humble beginnings, I appreciate the value of a dollar. Integrity, education, and striving to achieve your full potential were values instilled in me from the outset. These have been constant pillars in my life and I don’t know any other way to operate. Today, I work to build a transparent, empowering relationship with each of my clients as I partner with them to achieve their goals and dreams.
Professionally, I have over 12 years of capital markets experience and spent part of my career as a trader with a major investment bank. I also hold a CFP® designation, which has further enhanced my knowledge of the industry and helps my ability to perform as a fiduciary at the highest level.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
I have always loved sports and music. I’m an avid sports fan. Football, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, racing you name it I probably watch it! I also enjoy New York City’s live music scene. Whether it’s small bands, big names or anything in between. Having played percussion in my youth, I always wanted to learn guitar and took up lessons over the last few years. There’s nothing better than having friends or colleagues join me for a jam session.
I played football and basketball in high school, and I still have the urge to compete. These days that’s usually through playing golf which is a constant and fun challenge. I cherish the independence, being outdoors in beautiful scenery and the integrity of the game. It’s a great way to meet new people.
