What inspired you to join Bernstein?
My many years of partnering with artists, innovators, community and business leaders, educators, nonprofits and philanthropists have taught me that success and transformative growth are rooted in collaboration. I believe that we work best in community, where ideas and plans are strengthened by the impact of others. Bernstein’s team approach stands apart from the crowd and was a big motivation in my decision to join the firm. Here I put my passion for helping others into practice and I have the privilege to connect my clients to industry leaders across the firm that can help solve for complex issues and amplify our collective best thinking.
If you didn’t work for Bernstein, what else would you be doing?
I enjoy cooking and bringing people together in the shared experience of a meal. I believe that community is easily built around the dinner table, whether with family, friends or strangers. I established a cooking club 10 years ago with people from different areas of my life and the bonds that were formed over our cooking and eating together are some of the strongest I’ve experienced. A decade later, we’ve supported each other through births, deaths, marriages, divorces, job transitions and so much more. While it’s unlikely I would be a restaurant chef, I would wish to create opportunities for relationship building through a communal food-based experience.
What differentiates you from other advisors?
I came to Bernstein after a 25-year career in the nonprofit sector, where I both managed organizations and partnered with philanthropists and foundations in common pursuit. It is deeply meaningful to continue my work with purpose-focused organizations and investors—and know that I can make an even bigger impact on this side of the table. Mission matters, which is why I dedicate myself to fully understanding what is most important to my clients before crafting an investment plan that aligns with their goals and values. In true partnership, my clients can trust that I will make their mission my mission.
