What inspired you to join Bernstein?
I was drawn to Bernstein’s intellectual rigor and long-term, research-driven approach to wealth management. In an industry often focused on short-term noise, the firm stands apart for its discipline and integrated perspective. Equally compelling was its collaborative culture, bringing the right expertise together to deliver thoughtful, lasting outcomes for clients.
How have your values and personal background “uniquely” positioned you to work with your clients?
I’ve experienced nearly every role within a high-performing team—from rookie to starter, and eventually into leadership. That perspective shaped how I think about advising. Every client is at a different stage: building, scaling, transitioning or redefining what success means. My role is to understand where they are and help structure what comes next.
Growing up in Oxford and living in different parts of the world instilled in me an appreciation for how culture, incentives and long-term thinking shape decision-making.
Clients don’t just need technical expertise—they need judgment, discretion and someone who can operate calmly in moments of complexity. My background in professional sport taught me to prepare rigorously, perform under pressure and prioritize the team over ego. That translates directly into how I advocate for the families and executives I serve.
If you didn’t work at Bernstein, what else would you be doing?
If I weren’t advising clients, I would likely be running a coffee roastery. There’s some irony in that, having grown up in England surrounded by tea culture. But from my first exposure in college to time spent in the Pacific Northwest, I became fascinated by the craft.
Coffee sits at the intersection of precision and creativity. The process is dependent on technical aspects like sourcing, roasting curves and extraction variables, yet the outcome is about experience and community. It brings people of different backgrounds into a shared space.
In many ways, that parallels my work today. Thoughtful preparation behind the scenes creates an experience that feels seamless and trusted on the surface. Whether in a café or in an advisory relationship, the goal is the same: building something people return to because it consistently delivers.
