Advisor Headshot

Where do you need us?

Our team is founded on this mindset. Every client is different, and every client has different needs as life evolves. We approach each situation with a resource mindset to curate and deliver a customized map forward. We love people and their puzzles.

What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?

I’ve spent (almost) my entire career at Bernstein. I started at Bernstein as an associate, and then senior associate. I left to the firm to join Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Forecasting group, where I had the chance to work on complex planning with a global client base. I deeply enjoyed the work, but I missed knowing–and working with–the real people behind the financial plan.

Concurrent to these realizations many years ago, I was very happily recruited back to Bernstein to partner with an old boss of mine for our New England practice, with a focus on corporate executives and entrepreneurs. Now, I’ve taken additional responsibilities in our Stamford office (and closer to my home in Greenwich) and joined forces with Dave Altman

What drew me to Bernstein, twice actually, is that we take a measured, diligent approach to wealth advice and asset management. It’s a big company with a small feel, and because of the way we’re structured, we can harness and use the full firm (and each other) to come up with the right solutions for our clients.

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

I am passionate about everything outdoors and filling my mind with new things. I hike, rock climb, scuba dive, trail run, race sailboats offshore and ride horses. I have an insatiable appetite for learning and love talking to people who walk different paths than I do. It’s amazing the stories you’ll hear and what you’ll learn.

Passion isn’t an idle word, so I’m the Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Board of Trustees of Stanwich Church in my hometown of Greenwich. I’m serving on the Senior Pastor Search Committee and am a liaison to Stanwich Church's urban church plant in the neighboring city of Stamford. We’re opening a 30,000 square foot church on Atlantic Street in early 2026!

My parents gave their children the gift of a farm in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and a stewardship mindset from when I was a child. So, I’m also deeply involved environmental conservation in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Within the Squam Lakes Conservation Society, I serve on the Investment Committee, am the chair of the Next-Generation Committee, and a member of the Communications Committee. I am also proud to say I spearheaded a first-ever relationship with the Squam Lakes Association (the second oldest lakes association in the whole country!) and the Appalachia Mountain Club. These fantastic organizations preserve the whole watershed in perpetuity.

Getting to marry my decades of personal joy with my professional skillset truly is the ties that bind.

What differentiates you from other advisors?

Wisdom, expertise, and longevity.

Together, Dave and I have more than 30 years of experience guiding clients through challenging circumstances and different economic environments. We have an inherently intergenerational practice, a shared mission of excellent advice, a mindset of abundance, and a healthy dose of laughter along the way. Our practice focuses on sophisticated wealth forecasting, tax and estate planning, investment policy and ongoing asset management, and whole-family engagement.

Beyond the personal and professional ethos that I touched on above, I’ll add that I graduated with honors from Washington and Lee University in Virginia, earning a dual degree in Economics and English. I hold the Certified Financial Planner™ designation along with FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66. I’m also a board member of professional organization Exit Planning Exchange (XPX)for the Connecticut Chapter.
