What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?
Bernstein excels across the board, but there is one value that shines through to every corner of our business: integrity. We are not just financial advisors, we are stewards of our clients’ money—money they will use for retirement, buying a new home, building familial wealth for generations—or donating to a world-changing cause. We never take this charge lightly. Our responsibility to our clients is at the forefront of everything we do, from planning to investment decisions to client service. It is this integrity that has connected me deeply to Bernstein and inspired me to stay.
What are your areas of expertise in solving problems for clients?
We solve all types of complex problems for clients, but in the Israel office we specialize in working with Global Families: clients who face challenges dealing with multiple tax and legal jurisdictions. Though we don’t provide tax or legal advice, we work together with tax and legal professionals to develop creative solutions to problems, including wealth transfer to beneficiaries with multiple citizenships, single US stock positions held by non-US persons, and pre- and post-IPO planning for entrepreneurs. We pride ourselves in thinking outside the box to see what others may have missed, so our clients are successful regardless of where they reside or where their assets are invested.
Which personal accomplishment makes you proudest?
I am most proud of my family. Being a husband to my amazing wife and father to my wonderful children is at the same time the most challenging and most rewarding experience of my life. As I watch my children grow up, I am proud to see the fruits of my labor coming to bear. Parenting is an incredibly humbling experience, but there is simply nothing like the feeling of seeing your children grasp the values you’ve taught them and implement them into their own lives. Though I know unseen challenges await, I am excited to continue on the journey of fatherhood through each of its many stages.
