Aligning Priorities, Values and Legacy Goals

I help facilitate family discussions to uncover priorities, values and purpose that serve as the core guiding tenets of clients’ planning. My discussions are customized to each family’s needs and span governance, philanthropy and education.

What’s the best way for people to put their wealth in perspective?

There are many ways to view your wealth, and the more clients I work with, the more perspectives I gain! I believe a truly informed perspective on wealth considers past experiences, acknowledges current feelings and shapes your outlook for the future. Most importantly, it involves identifying your “North Star”—the direction you want to take and the legacy you want to leave behind. This approach is at the core of the work I do at Bernstein. I frequently have conversations with clients who are reflecting on what they value most and how they want their wealth to honor those values during and after their life. It’s exciting to be part of a firm that has a dedicated and formalized approach to helping clients think through these important considerations.

Tell me about the types of clients you work with.

I have the pleasure of working with individuals, families and business owners around the world who want to be understood on a deeper level and want that reflected in their planning. When decision-making is thoughtfully aligned with the values we hold close to our hearts, we can be confident in the actions we take and have peace of mind that our plan is working as intended.

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

Outside of work, I’m passionate about exploring Washington’s vibrant food scene. I love discovering new restaurants throughout the city, trying different cuisines, and supporting businesses that reflect the city’s rich cultural mix. Additionally, I’m fortunate to have Shenandoah National Park close by, where I enjoy hiking. This allows me to disconnect from the fast pace of city life. These activities provide both a creative outlet and a way to stay active, which I find incredibly fulfilling.
