Why did you choose Bernstein to grow your career?
I chose Bernstein for its commitment to thoughtful, long-term advice and its strength in addressing complex client situations, particularly across borders. As I come from a UK background, that global perspective was especially important to me.
What has kept me here is the opportunity to do meaningful work alongside a strong team. Partnering with Christopher Opie on cross-border relationships has been a highlight, allowing me to deepen my expertise while helping clients navigate complex UK and US considerations in a practical, client-focused way.
Tell me about the types of clients you work with.
Having lived and worked in both the UK and the US, I bring a perspective shaped by both markets. While I work with a broad range of US-based clients, I have developed particular strength in advising individuals and families with cross-border considerations, especially those with UK ties.
My background in UK tax, including six years working in London, provides a practical understanding of how tax, investment, and planning decisions intersect. This perspective is valuable not only in international situations but also for clients facing complex financial decisions more broadly.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
I live in Vienna, Virginia, with my wife, Ally, our son and our two dogs, Pepper and Tux. Life outside of work is shaped by our energetic young family, led by our 8-month-old, who keeps things both busy and entertaining.
I am an avid sports fan and grew up in North London, where football and swimming were central to my childhood. Supporting Tottenham Hotspur has been a lesson in patience and character.
Outside of sports, we enjoy traveling and spending as much time as possible in Europe, visiting family in London and exploring new places together.
