Bernstein Appoints Bowman Hallagan to Lead Private Wealth Office in Boston

(NEW YORK, NY) (BOSTON, MA) — September 10, 2025 — Bernstein Private Wealth Management (Bernstein), a unit of AllianceBernstein L.P. (NYSE: AB), today announced Managing Director, Bowman Hallagan, has been appointed to head its private wealth office in Boston. Returning to his New England roots, Hallagan will take the helm leading a team of wealth advisors serving high-net-worth and ultrahigh-net-worth clients, reporting to John Polidori, Regional Senior Managing Director at Bernstein.

Hallagan joined Bernstein in 2011, having most recently served as Managing Director in the firm’s Dallas office, where he was responsible for overseeing client service and the strategic growth of Bernstein’s business in that region. In his new role, he will continue to work closely with wealth advisors and client service teams on complex wealth management opportunities and challenges that come with meaningful wealth, including pre-transaction planning, multigenerational wealth transfer, philanthropy, retirement planning, and asset allocation. Bowman achieved a BA degree in political science and economics from Bucknell University.

 

Bernstein’s Boston office includes experienced wealth management professionals with decades of industry experience, including members of its national senior executive leadership team: Aaron Bates, Head of Ultrahigh-Net-Worth and Growth Strategies, and Toinette Rivas, the Chief Operating Officer. The office is active in the Boston community, having recently partnered with the Boston Public Library on an innovative “Entrepreneur-in-Residency” program, providing mentorship, guidance and opportunities to local entrepreneurs, particularly those from underserved communities, to develop their skills and sustain business ventures.

Kim Davis the previous Managing Director of the Boston office, remains with the firm and will return to focusing exclusively on her role as a Wealth Advisor serving ultrahigh- and high-net-worth clients.

The firm has $144 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2025.
