Seeking out opportunities to make a difference

My professional motivation is to make an impact on people’s lives and find out what is most important to them. Making things or people better gets me out of bed in the morning.

What inspired you to join Bernstein?

While completing my undergraduate education, I started seeking out a career path that would integrate my psychology major, economics minor, and personal interests. Pursuing a career in wealth management beautifully combined my three primary passions: building meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients, financial analysis, and investment planning. From my first interview at Bernstein, I knew they were a firm that aligned closely with my interests. It quickly became clear that Bernstein’s people were committed to providing exceptional client service and better outcomes for their clients. I was confident early on that this was a special place that offered an unparalleled opportunity to learn and flourish. The Bernstein environment is one in which I am surrounded by extremely intelligent and driven individuals, which is just my speed.

What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?

I operate on a simple belief: do the right thing. At Bernstein, we always do what’s best for our clients. We know our clients on a deeply personal level. In addition to the firm’s genuine commitment to our clients, Bernstein paves the way for trailblazers in the global financial world who are continuously striving for excellence. We pride ourselves on homegrown talent, and many of our senior leaders, who also began in junior-level roles, now give back through training sessions and open-door policies. The firm truly invests in its employees and has a commitment to professional development and career-building opportunities. My colleagues continue to fuel my positive experience at Bernstein. When I relocated from the New York City office to the Dallas office to take on a manager role, I was welcomed with open arms into a new environment by people who consistently challenge me to become a better professional and personal version of myself.

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

My love for working with others and learning more about their backgrounds extends beyond my life at the office. Global travel and immersing myself in other cultures brings me great joy and the opportunity to expand my worldview. One of my most memorable experiences involves living abroad in Barcelona, Spain. During this time, I lived with a Spanish host family, challenged myself to improve my Spanish vocabulary, and ultimately created close personal relationships with new friends who shared their culture and perspectives. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to explore my own culture during a trip to Cuba. Having heard stories from my grandparents about their homeland and where they lived from childhood into their teenage years, I was grateful to be able to experience firsthand the food, culture, and beautiful people of Cuba.
