My Passion Is Supporting Entrepreneurs

I enjoy working with entrepreneurs during various stages of their business life cycle. My priority is to understand each client’s current state, where they want to go in terms of their career and what is needed to secure their financial future.

What inspired you to join Bernstein?

My journey to Bernstein was built on a foundation that combined charitable giving, social impact and thriving entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Bernstein, I was a charitable planning consultant with a national donor-advised fund. There, I served as an advisor for charitable planning to help individuals achieve their philanthropic goals. Much of that work focused on advising business owners in advance of a liquidity event on strategic ways to achieve their charitable goals. It was only natural when I came across Bernstein that I gravitated toward its reputation, built upon advanced and sophisticated planning tools and an incredibly collaborative culture. The resources that Bernstein makes available allow all of my clients to put the right plan in place so they can reach their long-term financial goals.

Tell me about the types of clients you work with.

All of my clients have a unique journey and are leaving a positive impact on the world.

I work with inspiring clients that thrive on a collaborative relationship and a hands-on approach when making major decisions. Whether a client is years away from a business transition, or has already gone through one, many look to me to assist with planning the next stage of life. My clients appreciate my collaborative approach, ability to simplify complex planning processes and the unique perspective I bring based on my diverse experience.

How have your values and personal background uniquely positioned you to work with your clients?

My grandparents on my mom’s side built a family business and my dad immigrated to the States from Portugal. Due to my upbringing, I always understood the importance of hard work and taking risks. Growing up, my parents were always present. They taught me the importance of being there for my family, which eventually taught me the priceless value of being there for my clients. The values that I learned from my parents, demonstrated by example, contribute to how I take care of my clients. For me, it’s not all just business. I aim to understand my clients’ value systems, family dynamics and goals for the future to build lasting friendships beyond wealth planning.
