In Support of Entrepreneurship

Business owners and corporate executives are the entrepreneurial backbones of our world’s economic system. I strive to provide them with meaningful exit transactions and compensation advice.

What inspired you to join Bernstein?

I have spent my whole career in financial services, being fascinated by capital markets and sophisticated investment strategies. Prior to joining Bernstein in 2004, my experience included roles as an institutional bond salesman, capital raising and M&A investment banker, commodity fund analyst, risk arbitrageur, option and structured product specialist, and advisor to executives prior to, and after, they took their company public. I was attracted to Bernstein because the firm provides a highly collaborative work environment steeped in intellectual curiosity, independent thought and a culture that puts the interests of our clients first. The company has committed many years of talent and dollars to developing and enhancing the sophisticated tools that allow me to address the many complexities business executives face.

What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?

Bernstein has offered me a collegial, client-focused work environment that has provided the support, research and professional development I need to be an effective partner to the constituents I advise. The firm understands the needs of private business owners, whether they are looking for growth capital to expand their operations or are seeking sophisticated income and estate planning strategies to optimize their personal and family wealth. In addition, the quality of my advice to public corporate executives who are seeking to manage their compensation awards has been greatly enhanced by Bernstein’s leading proprietary concentrated stock and options forecasting tools.

What passions do you pursue outside of work?

I am grateful for the experience of a solid education that included studying at the graduate level. Like many, I am also painfully aware of the financial and social obstacles that prevent too many of our youth from having similar opportunities. For a long time, I volunteered at a few different New York City independent schools, helping them broaden their reach to admit talented students from a diverse set of socioeconomic backgrounds.

I am also a believer in the therapeutic value of long country hikes to take in the natural beauty of the world around us. I have a passion for the music of jazz, classical and American standards and, in my spare time, will sit down at a piano—often accompanied by a good glass of Burgundy.
