Changing the Trajectory

I am fueled by a deep appreciation for diversity, equity and inclusion. I make a daily effort to ensure that diverse, multicultural investors have the tools and resources they need in order to change the trajectory of wealth, impact and influence.

What’s the best way for people to put their wealth in perspective?

Wealth is subjective. In the simplest of terms, I would define it as an abundance of something you value. Therefore, it’s essential to take the time, and really dig deep, to discover how we value our resources. Through this process, you are able to determine the best way to deploy those assets and resources to address specific goals. Wealth and legacy planning should address how you want your financial resources to influence and impact the people and causes you care about the most. At Bernstein, we refer to this process as ‘Making Money Meaningful®,’ which is one of our firm’s philosophies. By engaging in a deep discovery process, with a caring, thoughtful and empathetic advisor, you can bridge the gap between expectations and outcomes and, most importantly, enjoy the benefits of your financial success.

If you didn’t work for Bernstein, what else would you be doing?

If I wasn’t a team member at Bernstein, I would most definitely be a consultant to individuals, organizations and institutions. In my consulting work, I would forge ways to leverage resources and assets to address socioeconomic disparities and racial inequality. I am a change agent for good and strongly believe that an equitable and intentional approach to equality is a prosperous value proposition for all.

How have your values and personal background uniquely positioned you to work with your clients?

My values and background allow me to see and appreciate our clients’ experiences, cultures, value sets and unique personality traits. All of those factors influence my clients as they drive along their personal path towards wealth, influence and making a positive impact on the world around them. As an advisor, I’ve seen how every client’s personal definition of success is shaped by their life experiences. Holding this perspective, and always remaining curious about my clients and their lives, empowers me to meet my clients where they are. I facilitate a relationship in which they can thrive, succeed, trust and connect with myself and others.
