What inspired you to join Bernstein?
Prior to joining Bernstein, I was a practicing corporate attorney who transitioned into my second career when I decided to help manage a large, private commercial real estate investment firm. In that position, I gained valuable experience structuring complex transactions and raising substantial pools of capital. More importantly, I learned that high-quality research and conflict-free investment advice are imperative in terms of achieving financial success. Bernstein possesses these key ingredients that are rare in the investment management industry. These distinguishing factors also greatly benefit my clients because we perform our own research on the investments we recommend that are in the clients’ best interest. In a nutshell, Bernstein’s unique platform, intellectual capital and integrity motivated me to join the firm.
Tell me about the types of clients you work with.
I work with closely held business owners, nonprofit organizations and specialty medical groups who are seeking to establish a deep and long-lasting relationship with a thoughtful advisor. My clients, who have achieved great levels of success in their fields of business, appreciate hard work and persistence. They value thoughtful advice and are intellectually curious. My clients are also extremely compassionate and find fulfillment in serving others.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
Outside of work, I passionately pursue my faith, family and fitness. I am extremely grateful to have a beautiful family and a wonderful job that I love. These blessings motivate me to help others through my church and I also host a men’s Bible study every Tuesday that helps me grow spiritually. As a father, I am deeply devoted to my five children who all excel in school and are very active in sports. I love hanging out with my kids at the beach as we all like to be by the water and also stay very active myself by running, lifting weights and playing various sports such as basketball and football.
