What inspired you to join Bernstein?

The way that Bernstein invests in its people. I was looking for an opportunity to learn from those who have had success in this industry, and the approach taken by every person I met with at Bernstein was consistent, aligning with the firm’s values and my own. I’ve felt supported and challenged to keep improving at every stage of my career due to Bernstein’s emphasis on training, development and partnerships—which has allowed me to continuously expand my skill set and professional network.

Who has been the most influential person in your life?

Many of my values were molded by my experiences and interactions with my two grandfathers. On my mom’s side, my grandfather was intellectually curious and had a wealth of knowledge and advice to give. Knowing how diligent he was in his research has motivated me to become a trusted advisor for others.

On my dad’s side, my grandfather was truly a man without an ego. Everything he did was for other people, and he was perfectly content knowing that those around him were happy. He served as a constant reminder of what it means to put others first and to do right by those who have put their trust in you.

These formative experiences are the reason the core values at Bernstein resonate so strongly with my own.

How have your values and personal background distinctly positioned you to work with your clients?

I grew up with the notion that you should take pride in what you do and not leave anything up to chance (if you can control it). Whether I was in the classroom or on the basketball court, I wanted to leave with the feeling that I had done everything I could to perform at the highest level—anything less left me with a feeling of regret.

I’ve used this mindset to guide me in my professional career. Leaving no stone unturned, I aim to provide a complete offering to my clients and dig deep into customizing a plan that suits their specific needs. Whether through pre-transaction planning, designing wealth transfer strategies, or exploring philanthropic opportunities, I want those I work with to feel confident about achieving their goals and planning for whatever comes next.
