What has inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?
The people that I work with at Bernstein have profoundly inspired me both personally and professionally. Bernstein’s motto is “relentless ingenuity,” and I see that personified in all of my colleagues. I would also add “reliability” as another important metric, especially in the world of finance where things can change on a daily basis. A large part of our job is to reassure clients we are there for them, and this stems from our culture at Bernstein where we all support one another. I have high standards for my team members, and they expect the same level of commitment and detail in my own work. By working together, we ensure that our clients’ portfolios will be the best they can be.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
Even outside of work, my personal interests entail investing in one form or another. I have a strong passion for studying investments related to Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) funds and to new technology companies. This stems from my desire to find investments that reflect Bernstein’s goals of global environmental conservation, sustainable development and social justice. When I need a break from work, my other passion is competitive bodybuilding. I can frequently be found in the gym working out when I’m not crunching numbers.
Share one of your most memorable professional accomplishments with us.
My most memorable accomplishment at Bernstein is the growth and development of our exchange fund platform. Beginning in 2014, I learned firsthand how to grow and lead a large investment platform from the ground up. Ever since our team launched this platform, we have been able to help numerous investors find unique solutions that provide diversification and tax deferral for their concentrated single stock positions.
